This workshop, taught by Francine Broder, PsyD, will focus on the application of CBT to patients with chronic medical conditions. We will begin by defining the Stages of Change model and discuss its application to chronic illness, with a focus on modifying barriers to behavior change. Next we will discuss and apply CBT interventions to diabetes, obesity, and chronic pain. This interactive workshop includes case discussions and experiential exercises. It offers practical tools useful for planning and implementing treatment for patients with chronic medical conditions.

The Hilton City Avenue is directly across the street, and the Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue (formerly the Crowne Plaza Philadelphia West) is about a ten-minute walk from Beck Institute. The Courtyard also offers a shuttle to Beck Institute trainees that will take you to and from our office each morning and afternoon.
