Dr. Shannon Wiltsey Stirman is a Clinical Psychologist and Implementation Scientist in the Dissemination and Training Division of the National Center for PTSD, and an Assistant Professor at Stanford University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Previously, she trained as a graduate student and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, and worked with Dr. Beck and colleagues on the development of the Beck Community Initiative. Her research focuses on training and consultation in evidence-based mental health interventions, the development of feasible and valid measures of fidelity and adaptation, and the identification of strategies to support the sustainability of evidence-based practices in service settings. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and the Canadian Institute for Health Research.
