Marjan Holloway, PhD

Dr. Holloway is Adjunct Faculty at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia, a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and an Associate Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Holloway completed her postdoctoral training at the Center for the Treatment and Prevention of Suicide and the Center for Cognitive Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania under the mentorship of Dr. Aaron T. Beck.

Dr. Holloway’s Laboratory for the Treatment of Suicide-Related Ideation and Behavior at USUHS focuses on the development and empirical validation of cognitive behavioral interventions (e.g., Post Admission Cognitive Therapy [PACT]) for the prevention of suicide with an emphasis on military and inpatient healthcare programs. Dr. Holloway maintains a private practice in Maryland and over the past decade, she has trained graduate and medical students as well as mental health providers in the United States and abroad on cognitive behavioral interventions for mood and anxiety disorders as well as for suicide prevention.
