Raising the bar on military care.

The Beck Institute’s Soldier Suicide Prevention initiative provides training in evidence-based cognitive behavior therapy for mental health professionals treating active-duty and/or veteran military members and their families.

Soldier Suicide Prevention is an initiative of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia, an internationally renowned organization which provides state of the art training for health and mental health professionals.

CBT has been shown to be effective in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, Gulf War syndrome, suicidality, substance abuse, anger, and similar issues experienced by many active-duty and veteran military members. Many therapists, unfortunately, have not been adequately trained in evidence-based treatment – therapy that not only helps individuals recover from their disorders, but also prevents relapse.

To increase the number of professionals trained to provide evidence-based treatment, Beck Institute offers a partial-scholarship program for CBT Workshops at Beck Institute to participants treating active-duty or veteran military members or their families.

Serving all branches of the US military
