Quethelyn Blake

Finance Manager

Quethelyn Blake joined the team as the finance coordinator in 2009, managing the day-to-day accounting functions and human resource activities in the business office.  Prior to joining Beck Institute, she worked for over 15 years in financial management.

Quethelyn loves to spend time with her husband and grown children.  In her spare time, she is very active in theocratic activities, and loves to read and write poetry.

David Cavanaugh

Project Coordinator

David Cavanaugh joined the team at Beck Institute in September of 2015 as Executive Assistant to the President. He graduated from Fordham University in 2011 with a BS in Psychology and a Minor in Political Science. Prior to joining the Beck Institute, David worked as a legal assistant and project manager at a law firm in Philadelphia, PA. As Project Coordinator, David coordinates the Beck Institute online training courses.

Alex Shortall

Intake Coordinator

Alex Shortall joined the Beck Institute team in October of 2016 as the intake coordinator, where he manages the clinical appointments with Beck Institute therapists. Alex graduated from the Honors Psychology program at Temple University in May 2016. While at Temple University, he worked as a research assistant in the Infant and Child Lab and completed his honors thesis, which focused on maternal use of directive speech during playtime and its effects on early childhood language development. Alex hopes to continue his studies in psychology and earn a degree in school psychology.

Sarah Fleming

Executive Assistant

Sarah Fleming joined the Beck Institute in July of 2016.  She holds a B.A. in English from Trinity College and a B.A. in Psychology from The City College of New York.  In her role as Executive Assistant, she supports the office of the President and the Beck Institute’s executive staff with a broad range of initiatives.  She recently moved to Philadelphia from Brooklyn and is renovating a rowhouse with her husband.  She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Allie Jessar

Assistant Training Program Coordinator

Allie Jessar joined the Beck Institute Team in June of 2016. She graduated from Temple University in 2014 from the Honors Psychology Program with a minor in social work. Allie completed her Honor’s thesis in the Temple University Mood and Cognition Lab, where she studied child and adolescent depression and the effects of emotional neglect on a child’s emotional clarity. In her role as Assistant Training Program Coordinator, Allie assists in organizing the Philadelphia workshops and manages the supervision and consultation programs.

Maritza Lawson

Training Program Coordinator

Maritza Lawson joined the Beck Institute team as Intake Coordinator in July of 2012. She graduated from Temple University in 2011 with a BA in psychology and spanish (minor) and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in clinical and counseling health psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  In her current position as Training Program Coordinator, Maritza coordinates the Philadelphia and On the Road workshops.

Sarah Licata

Communications Specialist

Sarah joined the Beck Institute team in January of 2015. She received her BS in recreation and leisure administration with a minor in hospitality and tourism marketing from York College of Pennsylvania in 2014, where she organized international group trips as the president of the Ski and Outdoor Club. As Communications Specialist, Sarah manages all Beck Institute and Beck Diet Solution newsletters, social media, PR and marketing.

Bonnie V. Nicolari, MS

Program Director

Bonnie Nicolari began working for Beck Institute in 2002 after she earned her BA in Psychology (summa cum laude) from Temple University. In 2009, she earned her MS in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in CBT from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Bonnie has served in a variety of roles at Beck Institute, including intake coordinator and assistant education coordinator; she also assisted with the administration of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy from 2002-2003. Currently, Bonnie serves as program director of training for organizations.

Julie Snow Regan

Administrative Director

Julie Snow Regan began working for Beck Institute in 1998. She received her BA in psychology (summa cum laude) from Neumann University in 1999. In her time at Beck Institute, she has served in a variety of roles, including assistant intake coordinator, finance coordinator, and education coordinator; she also assisted with the administration of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy until 2007. Currently a project director, Julie oversees and manages the Institute’s vendors and all short-term and long-term special projects, in addition to serving as secretary to the board of directors.

Julie has been a vegetarian for over 20 years (and a vegan for the past six). This makes her completely unqualified to advise visitors to the Institute on where to get the best Philly cheesesteak.
