Beck Institute offers a full range of training in cognitive behavior therapy to meet the needs of mental health professionals, researchers, educators, and students at all levels of experience, worldwide. Our trainees come from highly diverse health and mental health backgrounds, from novice to experienced professionals, both with and without knowledge of CBT. Our workshops are designed to teach our trainees how to implement, in a manageable and stepwise approach, evidence-based CBT treatment into their practice and/or organization.
Workshops at Beck Institute, Philadelphia:
The Core Curriculum builds the basic and essential skills and competencies for effective treatment for a range of psychiatric disorders and problems. Specialty Workshops offer concentrated, intensive training in the treatment of specific disorders and/or populations.
Other Center for Training Programs and Services:
The Supervision and Consultation Program provides the individual therapist (or small group of therapists) with tailored case consultation from Beck Institute Faculty via Skype or other electronic means to further enhance participants’ knowledge and skills.
Through our Customized Training Program, organizations can request similar or modified curriculum to be delivered by Beck Institute faculty at their locations. After completing one 3-day workshop (Core Curriculum or Specialty, on-site at Beck Institute or through the Customized Training Program), participants are eligible to apply for the Supervision Program. Congruent with our mission, training at Beck Institute aims to further disseminate CBT throughout the world through the provision of professional training.
Beck Institute also offers group training on a variety of CBT topics via customized Webinars (for ten or more participants). Please email our Program Director, Bonnie Nicolari, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
