Fall, 2001 - Publication of the Beck Youth Inventories of Emotional and Social Impairment, developed by Judith S. Beck, Ph.D. and Aaron T. Beck, M.D. These self-administered scales are written at a second grade reading level and designed for children and adolescents aged 7-14. Given individually or in combination, the five scales measure symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, disordered behavior, and self-esteem.
